FROM THE LAND DOWN UNDER

#1 Post by mrgor »

HELLO FROM DOWN UNDER
I live in Melbourne Australia and have just purchased two 360 Right Hand Drive Sedans. A NSW (Australia) Subaru Wrecker (Breaker???) purchased them from Japan around 2 years ago. Both are complete cars, with MINOR rust (so far).
Plans are to restore both cars.
Many Thanks to Ed Parsil for all of his help to a newcomer.
Apart from the 360's, I am oficially retired, but work three days a week doing sales marketing work for a local Classic Sports Car specialist. Check out there website http://www.healeyfactory.com.au
As 360 cars were never oficially imported in to Aust, I am very thankful for the club and potential for advise and support.
Best Regards to All,
Ron Spencer

Welcome to the club Ron. Post a few pictures of your sedans when you get a chance.

Hi Ron,

Welcome!

Wow, those 360's will be really rare there in Australia

What is a NSW? ( wrecking yard? )

Post some pictures if you could. We'd love to see what treasures you've got there.... from the land down under

PS. I rode my Mt. bike all around Melbourne in 1992. Nice place!

Hello Mark,
"NSW" is an abreviation for New South Wales, a state of Australia.
A "Wrecker" in this country is what I think you call a "Breaker" in the USA.The business owner only deals in later model Subaru's and brought these two cars from Japan (included in a parts shipment).
I thought I maybe had the only 360 cars, but have since located four others.
Two are restored, two still awaiting attention.
As soon as I know how, I will certainly send photo's.
(Going to ask Jamie for help).
Best Regards,
Ron S
