Re: Hello from LA, new member with 1970 Sambar
I will have both of mine at a morning meet this Sunday in Woodland Hills. There is a post for it under Meets/Events.
I import a lot of parts from Japan, maybe we can work together. (received a shipment from Grazio & Co. just yesterday).

I haven't replaced mine. Mine move pretty easily up and down as well; I figure unless they leak, I'm not worrying about it.
I can't say for sure what's normal.

We use a local company to reline the shoes. You have to specify thickness, IF your drums have been turned it's thicker. 5/32" and 3/16" maybe?
Ed knows the two numbers; I can never remember and have to look it up every darn time.

I think some answers are in order. I'm tenacious about this kind of thing, and always get the result I want -- but I don't have the authority. :'(

Re: Website problems??
1. Do you know the size of the database currently?
2. Does the server GUI allow you to do this without writing a script?
3. Any idea how much the "hosting" costs are for this forum?
Just curious, and probably mostly none of my business.

Several days worth of posts disappeared. Apparently there is some confusion on who runs these forums from a technical standpoint and who can be proactive about backups and dealing with the hosting/server people. Sigmaz is trying to help out I believe.

When you capitalized the word IMMEDIATELY who was that supposed to incite? Because officially, there is no one "in charge" of database maintenance. If you have access the the screen you captured, you're hired. Someone has to be on top of that sort of thing. What if a year's data was lost ...

Sure glad we have you Jon. Can you get server-related emails changed to come to you, since you are doing that work? Seems like if you have access to that point, you could make the change.

The ISP/hosting provider is in charge of backups?? As the owner of a server, a website guy for 20 years, and a forum owner as well, I can't say how many ways that is wrong. Should be corrected IMMEDIATELY with daily backups. Not fair to all of us who help build this community to lose valuable inform...

besides the stamp, there is an aluminum plate with it as well. I think someone posted the location of that earlier. Is that spot and plate above jack / brake fluid receptacle only spots or is there more ?
