Another Newbie! 1970 Sambar owner
Hello everyone. I recently purchased a well used 1970 Sambar Van. It is a little rough but I'm starting my. Restoration right away. I am really looking for a rear drop gate and upper hatch. Mine is pretty rough and most likely not repairable. I'm sure I will need other parts as well. So far I have removed the body from the frame to do a nice restoration but I'm sure it is near impossible to get parts. Any info on where to locate these body parts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Rob.

Welcome!! You started good by posting a pic, of course we like more... From what I see it looks like a worthy project. Parts are hard to find, but some how we seem to find them after what seems forever, then they pop up!! Please post in the left coloum where your located.

Welcome to the club from So Cal Long Beach
I took my body off frame as well
Make sure you install new body mount bushings
I have parts for that
I also make other items
Just go to ebay and post in "subaru 360" then find the parts
Then to sellers other items
Easier to see what is a valuable now
But many other parts to come especially for the van
But also truck and sedan

I am from Muskegon! Welcome to the club! I’ve been slammed busy for the last couple months, so I put my current restoration on hold for a minute. I had hoped to have it finished by spring, but that’s not looking great. I am currently working in Orlando, but due to head home in a couple days! (just in time to go on spring break with the family to.......you guessed it! Florida)!! I really am ready for a break, but I REALLY, REALLY, want to get my current pickup finished.Rlowery wrote:Thanks everyone for the welcomes! I am located in Michigan. Are you talking about the truck that was for sale around Hammond IN? Is that the truck you bought?
