Hello all. New guy here. I posted a pretty lengthy intro in the wanted section, but for those who won't see that my name is Mark and i'm 34. I'm in Southern California and all around just a car nut.. I've owned 29 cars to date, but lately I've started keeping the good ones. My 2 car garage has 2 full time cars, but I'm betting I can fit a 360 in there as well.

I like to go to car shows and events. Yesterday I did Cars & Coffee Irvine with my Lotus and this morning took my Lincoln to Pomona swap meet. Love it! Believe me once I find my 360 van it will be or end up being a very nice vehicle and you can bet I'll be taking it to the shows.

And hey SubieGal I absolutely adore Stanley. Thanks for accepting me on FB. I'm using some of your Stanley pics as my work PC wallpaper :D

Mark - Welcome to The Club! We found our '70 360 van in Feb. '75
and still drive it every day. These 360s are incredibly reliable if
maintained properly. Try running an ad in the next Newsletter for
the van you want, ads are always free to members. All members
get the Newsletter including those who never look at this website.
Indicate the condition you are looking for so you your time is not
wasted with those that are way better or way worse than you want.

Hi, Mark,

Although rare, vans do turn up occasionally. Be aggressive about looking for one and have your money ready so you can move quickly when and if one becomes available. Get as much of an education as possible in advance, so you know what you're looking at. Very important: get the most complete vehicle you can.

A few years ago, you could turn up the hard-to-find parts that everyone is looking for; now, not so much. Even the littlest parts can be difficult to locate but some are nearly impossible: mufflers, oil reservoir bottles, windshields and gaskets, distributor parts, turn signal switches, inside mirrors, etc. are really tough. You can drive a van with a cracked backup lens or a missing hubcap but what are you going to do if your newly purchased van has no windshield or no muffler or no brake lenses?

If you have the time and the inclination to come visit me in Arcadia, I'll help with your education. You can see my show level truck (the Toon Truck) or my work in progress (the Tiki Truck), while you're here. PM me if you want to come by .... and good luck in your search!

Roger I'd love to visit. Me and my significant other are always looking for a new place to take our Lotus and Arcadia isn't far at all. I'll let you know when I talk to her. Thanks!
