Hello, Mike! Welcome to the Club from the Great NW where we don't get hurricanes just constant rain!
I just brought my 1st 360 and just parked it in the carport about 30 minutes ago. Look forward to the adventure with you.

Up here in Morris County we've got huge numbers of trees and wires down. 7 days with no power. Looking forward to normalcy, and hearing about your progress with you 360.

Mike,
Thanks for the offer. We are doing OK here with a generator that I run 8 hours a day or so (like a good day in Bagdad!) to run the furnace and a few things around the house. I also have a little AC inverter that I plug into our Prius for an additional 8 hours a day to drive a PC, a few lights and cellphone chargers. The Prius is great for this job as it only idles as needed to keep it's own battery up - about 10-15 minutes an hour!
Having said all that I will be very glad when the utility folks finally get to my block...should be soon!
Jon,
I found gas with zero line 5 minutes into PA along Route 512! Yay!

Hey Steve tonight I'm on generator watch in parsippany.
I have to sit here in my Jeep from 8:00pm to 8:00am and make sure nobody steals this generator on the pole.
Keeping the power supplies alive on the plant is a good job. $20/hr and all I have to do is keep white collar business men from climbing up 20 feet to retrieve a 150lb generator.
I'm so busy....yeah right! I don't even have to fuel it..
Love this gig.

14 hours and both the generator and I am still here.
Where is the tech that's supposed to take my spot. I'm kinda tired....
I worked a full day yesterday and then came here.. I've gotta sleep sometime.
One of my pals ran the Newark route last night, he stepped out of his truck to speak with another tech that drove up.
That's when an impaired woman did a little body work on the back of his Tacoma.
He was on the curb of a straight section of road, cones deployed and all of his strobes and 4 ways on. There was no hiding his truck.
I'm glad he wasn't in it when she slammed her Corolla into it.
Her drunk ass was carted off in a meat wagon.

Wake up Jon!
Re: Hello from nj that now looks like war zone
Glad to report that after 16 hrs relief was finally dispatched to my location.
I was able to sleep a little last night and I'm back at work at my desk.
Needless to say, watching generators isn't all that glamorous and I won't be so quick to raise my hand again.
