There will be a brief outage approx 2:00 PM EST 6/1/2012 for site maint.
The upgrade and outage should only last a few mins.

Update List:

-Site had been updated to PHPBB 3.0.10

-TapaTalk Module is now online and active (Site has been registered with TapaTalk search engine)

-Inline Image re-sizer had been implemented to automatically re-size images posted in the forums.
This way no matter what image users link or post, they will never skew the forum formatting.

In Progress: Working on image upload functionality to aid with onsite image and attachment posting.

That always bugged me.
Now there will be some uniformity and it also makes less work for those that post large images.
No more pre linking converting. Nice!

A lot of people have trouble posting pix generally , can anything be done to make it easier ?

Once I get this fix done by the server admins, image posting will be ALOT! easier..

are you suggesting that people will be able to post pictures directly to forum, rather than a picture sharing site? I suppose if the forum automatically changes pictures to 640 wide then the file size will not be that big.

Yes people will be able to post directly to the site by attaching pictures to posts as simply as browsing to the local file and clicking ok.

Btw, tapatalk users will be able to post directly from smartphone camera or image gallery

Hokey smokes, that's awesome! Now I can take a picture and write a post saying "what does this widget do?" without having to climb out from under the car! We are definately living in the future.

I collect old cameras...... 8mm, 16mm, some video, but mostly film. Probably have some
old phones around too ....
