Hi Alex - welcome! I looked at http://www.carsponsorship.com/; it was a blank website with nothing but some random ads. Getting your car running doesn't need to be overly expensive. You will find plenty of help here...good luck!

Welcome, You have a wanabe young, A standard 360 someone switched the instrument cluster, steering wheel and not sure about the doors. The wipers park the other way on a real young. You are very lucky. You have the highly prized cluster and steering wheel. You also have a standard sedan roof. See below.

Welcome to the club. I'm in Frisco, about an hour and a half Northeast of you. I grew up down that way (Burleson).

I'm taking a sort of similar path with mine - a full restore, although I don't know if I'll do any shows. Maybe. I'm taking everything apart entirely, right down to completely stripping each individual component and restoring. I won't be putting it back together with the original colors and trim, but it'll be "showroom new" or better.

It takes a while, but it's really not as expensive as you'd think. A lot of NOS parts are still available from club members, as well as oodles of good used parts. 99% of your "cost" is in labor. Just start taking it apart, and start rubbing, scraping, sanding and etc. You'll get there.

This club forum has actually been my #1 go-to resource. When you get stuck on something, just start asking questions - someone on here will know the answer.

Welcome Alex!!

Carsponsorship.com.... is a sales team taking advantage of those that just do not know better.
Why would you "pay" anything for sponsorship?
This company wants you to "pay" to use their service....
Their service is nothing more than "coupons" and discounts for their business partners.
In short, don't bother with them.

Work hard, create something to "sell" to those that may want you to advertise for them - and sponsorship will come.

I've been sponsored in racing and automotive events for over 10 years now.
Hard work has been the #1 key in getting and retaining sponsors.

Glad to see you here, and hope you enjoy your little Subaru!

Jamie

Welcome to the Club! I have a good used front and rear wiring harness for sedan/young, if you e-mail me I can e-mail you my 8-page parts lists. Plug wires are can be bought at any parts store, or if you want to stay 100% original you can use the original bakelite plug ends which are also on my list (only 1 new one left but have good used also).

You need to get the BOOK OF REPRINTS, available free online or at cost on CD or in print - this will answer at least 97% of your questions and give you all kinds of ideas and history and tech tips on your 360.

Anything you don't find there either e-mail me or ask on this message board and someone will know the answer.

Happens to me all the time also. I have to look at my pics to be sure. It does appear to have young doors judging from the black spot where the lock sticker should be.

Hi Alex,

I forgot to mention - be sure to get all the manuals from my site. Also, PM me for the link to download the BOR. It's 400+ pages of club experience in one place!

BTW I looked at that sponsorship site - without having gone too deeply into, it I imagine that the cars that get sponsored are those that can make money for the sponsors in the long run ("hey look at my cool car with all these upgrades - yours can be just like mine!") Unfortunately I cannot picture a scenario where the 360 would fall into that category.

The site mentioned charges you $99 once you have been chosen to participate and are guaranteed $3,000 in sponsorship funds. They do ask for your credit card up front however. So, buyer beware is the slogan here.

The 360 club roster shows 11 members (plus you) in TX.
The microcar club (http://www.microcar.org) shows 36 members in TX.
If there isn't a show, maybe a mass email can get one going!

Yes, as they are PDF's - you can just email them to your kindle email address, and they'll show up in your library. I have mine on my kindle fire.
