Hello everyone,
My name's Jorge, I live in Palm Springs. I am a new member. I just bought a 1970 Subaru 360 Van from a guy in Washington who had 2 van and still has 3 trucks. I bought my van running so I haven't had to do much to it yet but it does need a whole lot of restoration. If there is anyone out here in California who does this kind of thing let me know. I sadly am not mechanical at all. I need all the help I can get.

Anyway I discovered the 360 van online somewhere and just had to have one. It took me about a year to find one.

Well that's my story.

Update 12-4-2008
Yesterday my company laid off 30 people I was one of them so if any of you know of a job in graphic design in SoCal I would appreciate it very much. I have a 22 month old with another baby due in Feb. and need to get another job fast.
Thanks

Welcome, Jorge!

You'll get lots of help here, just ask! Your club roster will be very helpful to find other 360 owners near you. Good luck and have fun with your lil van!

Yeah this guy named Ron has 3 trucks. He said he was not ready to sell them yet because he wants to get them running first. He bought 3 trucks and 2 vans from the same guy who had them for years. So I guess he is buying, fixing and selling for profit. I have emailed him several times after I bought the van but he has not replied. I will notify the club if I hear anything.

That Zoe Zipper is really cool, I drove Larry Cox's Zoe Zipper at one of the CA SWULC events
and the reverse "gear" is really ingenious :D

I put a story about it in the Newsletter at the time, it's still in the BOR.
