Updating would be cool. I love being a part of a group who are so willing to take it upon themselves to create things like this.

So I remember when this was being worked on, and I found the thread.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4499&hilit=member

It appears the membership list on this forum used to show at least member states, maybe even towns but now when you look at it there is no location column.

I know how to make google kml map overlays and I could update it if we could get the list of member locations.

Sigmaz you indicated in this thread above that you were going to work on fixing the member list to show location, is that something you are not able to do? Can you provide a export of the list with location?

The location map idea was sort of stifled. Some members didn't wish to provide their location info citing privacy concerns.
However you can include your location info under your user profile settings.. :?

I'm not sure what the problem is but some were pushing back pretty firmly on that issue.

I can understand, thought I would think just showing the city state would be ambiguous enough if only that was used for a general idea.

Thanks

Yeah a generic, regional map would be neat..

I'm not sure who can get it done, But if anyone in the admin team with some spare time is willing to pick that project up it would be appreciated.

Yes Phil (sorry Jamie) - you'd need to ask permission from each and every member before adding them to any map!

Hi all after seeing Jon's comment I dropped the idea, I thought it could be helpful, I do not think marking the city a 360 is located in would be a cause for privacy for anyone, we could just do it as an anonymous location. But water over the dam at this point.
