hooray for having a web page icon!

hooray for having a web page icon!

I just noticed the little yellow 360 icon in the address bar... awesome!

I keep all my toolbar bookmarks as just icons with no words since I can recognize the site by the icon... I could never do that before since there was no icon and it took up twice the real estate on my toolbar...

so hooray for the icon and now I can condense my toolbar a little... (:

I know mechanics, but am a dummy at electronics. Is that yellow box a shortcut to the site? If so how do I make it work?

It's red again. Dark red square with what looks to be a white eagle inside. Wierd.

Hi Ed,

No, that yellow box is nothing more than a little optional picture that one can include in one's website, to distingish it from the rest of the world. For instance, if you look at ebay you will find this -- Image -- next to the address line. Or this -- Image -- if you go to any google page. If the person creating the website doesn't add any picture, you get the generic "e" in a little box next to the web address.

If you go to http://www.stevenmichelsen.com you will see this next to the web address -- Image -- an itty bitty picture of me, that I put there "just because".

Hi Ed,

Google Chrome - that's good to hear.

Bottom line on the yellow "360" box...it's just a decoration.
