Why can't it remember me??

#1 Post by subaru360nut » 4 weeks ago

Lately every time I try to reply on anything it pops me to
a place where I have to re-enter and x the box that says REMEMBER ME.
The next thing I try to do anything the same thing happens again.
This is not all the time but most of the time.
What's up with this???

Do you have your 'cookies' set to delete information?

This is usually a setting if you don't want say google to track what you are looking up or to automatically save passwords and credit card info.

Which browser do you use? Mozilla, google chrome etc?

Yes Ed, I concur with Andrew. If you're like me and TRY to encompass some privacy, then I add "Exceptions" for every website that I trust. It then remembers that setting - and... Me!

I have never checked any of those things, wouldn't know where to look for them.
I understand mechanics, but not electronics! :(

March 13, I tried about 10 times to answer a post, every time
it told me I had to log in first, I did, same thing every time.
What can I do to have it REMEMBER ME, I always check that box???

What browser do you use, Ed? FireFox, Chrome, Pale Moon, or Microsoft Edge?

Whichever it is, I think you need to answer YES to the box that says REMEMBER ME.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Ed, you could try downloading google chrome or mozilla and use it only for this forum. It might save you a lot of hassle. At least if you try it with another browser you will know if it is the browser that is causing it or not?

I am not good on computers, I understand mechanical things but electronics
is too new. May grandkids understand it but they live 1800 and 3500 miles away.
I actually get the website on Google Chrome, didn't understand the previous
question I guess. Me e-mail is aol.
