Are you talking about a Morris Mini, or just an alternative description for the Subaru 360?

:?

I checked the master list and this is the second lowest VIN I have for a pickup.
That means it is PROBABLY a '68, if it has a 3-speed transaxle it is definitely
a '68. Some items are different for the '68 but look at P. 27, 28, and 100 in
the BOOK OF REPRINTS and you will see all the points and condensers and caps
and rotors that were used on all the Subaru 360s imported by Subaru of America
AND the earlier Sambars imported by Sutherland.

Ah, I see. I think..... (I've always described the Subaru 360 as a micro car! :D )

The BOR will show you which of the 4 distributors you have.
ANY of the 4 can be used in ANY Subaru 360 engine, but the
parts are not interchangeable from one of the 4 to another.

If the '68 (3-speed) has the HITACHI on P. 100 see the CLASSIFIEDS
in the current newsletter for points etc.

Points for HITACHI on P. 28 have not been available for decades BUT
you can polish the points and reuse them, use a new generic condenser
with the same capacitance as the old one. I used to get 50,000 miles
out of one set of Hitachi points by polishing them every 10K

NIPPON-DENSO dist. parts (used by factory in sedans, not Sambars
but will work fine in either) may still be available, see P. 368 in BOR.

These points can also be polished and reused with a new geeneric
condenser (different capacitance from HITACHI.

HITACHI caps never wear out because there is no contact, clean out any carbon tracks
and polish the 4 metal nodes inside the cap and the inside of the holes where the
spark plug wires go with wire brush on a Dremel tool.

Polish metal ends of HITACHI rotor with wire wheel.
