Hey guys John here! I work for Greeley Subaru in Greeley, Colorado! We are in the process of restoring a 69 Subaru 360 Deluxe! Thank you for adding me to this prestigious group of car enthusiasts! I'm in need of some parts so let me know what ya got! I'm excited to learn lots I don't know! I need cosmetic stuff and saw reproduction stuff that I need on the Facebook page but have no clue where to find any of it on this forum! So any help would be gladly appreciated. I have a deadline with this car and want to get it done before then!

There are relatively few replacement parts available for the Subaru 360 but you'll have a little easier time with the sedan than with the Truck or Van (T/V), as more of the sedans were imported. You'll need to reach the following members here on this forum:
Garm Bealle - is going out of the Subaru business so find him soon
Paul - the Little Car Lover lists his repop stuff on ebay
Bobby Decola - mostly T/V stuff but he has repopped some sedan parts
Ron Borum - has made decals but I'm not sure if he did any for the sedan
Brian at Dale's Manufacturing - has window fuzzies
Billy Paul - may have some egg lenses for inside the car
Nate at Motomatic Mopeds - may be doing mufflers soon for the sedan.

After a few days, I'll be more available to help you find parts. I'd suggest that you put up a picture of your car here and make a folder for parts you hope to find. Also, tell us more about the time you have, the quality of the restoration you envision, and which pieces you need most or first. Consider buying a parts car. Finding NOS stuff is practically impossible. Good luck with the project.

Welcome to The Club!

In 1993 we tried to start an "Honor Roll" of Subaru dealers
who still had Subaru 360s, 360 parts, and especially those
who had a 360 in the showroom for historical purposes on the
25th anniversary of the first 360s being imported by SOA.

We found none at the time!

But since then several dealers have taken an interest, I'm
happy you are one of them.

Ed

Thank you everyone for the reply!! Yes we are a dealership full of employees who own the old ones and love everything about Subaru! Well I will post some pictures up as soon as possible. The biggest things I need right now are the hood emblem on the front. The reverse lense and license plate light. I'm missing 3 mudflaps. The ash tray. The dome lense inside on the b pillar. The horn emblem in the steering wheel.
Also what are the window fuzzies because I still have to put the side glass in.
Thank you everyone! I will get some pics up!

- hood emblem- email Bobby DeCola for a repop, email: de49cola@aol.com
- reverse lens and plate light- not being repopped, request used parts here on the forum
- mudflaps- someone in the club is working on this (I don't know who), request info here on the forum
- ashtray- not being repopped, request used parts here on the forum
- dome lens ("egg" lens)- email Bobby DeCola for a repop
- horn emblem- email Bobby DeCola for a repop
- window fuzzies go alongside of the glass windows, ask Wayne Saunders (old one) here on this forum for a better description and a referral to Brian at Dale's Manufacturing

I recommend that you communicate with these members, in particular. (Get a list of what they have available for the 360 sedan.) Paul the Little Car Trader, Garm Bealle, Bobby DeCola. There are many parts for the sedan that you're not inquiring about, such as windshields, pistons, axle boots, front lenses, tail lenses, door straps, steering column covers, axle boots, brake cups, et al, that you may need. We like pictures!

Well I emailed bobby back on Thursday but haven't heard back yet. I still am trying to upload some photos but don't know the process. I can't just copy and paste. They have to be shared from another host? I literally have every photo on Facebook.

Alright so I need a few pointer on how to post these pics up. Do I click Img or URL? They all exist on my facebook so how do I go about sharing them on here? I'm part of a Cummins Forum and you need the URL of the image and then paste that into your thread.

Second I need some advice. The car still has the original seat belts. But they are dirty and full of dust. I thought about maybe a tub of oxy-clean and letting them soak, rinsing them and letting them dry. But I am afraid the color will come out of the belt. I found this website that does seat belt restoration. I'm not sure if that's just going to save me a whole headache.

3rd I've done some more inventory of stuff I'm looking for. The lock for the fuel door, do I just find one from an auto store? Will it fit? I need the hood prop for the rear engine hatch. Is there a prop for the front hood? I have the rear license plate light but its missing the lense that goes in it. Not sure what to do there. Maybe just a piece of plexi glass.
And lastly for now, haha I am missing the whole rear view mirror.

I got some parts from Bobby which are amazing thanks again! The hood emblem is silver or polished. Is it supposed to be silver or gold? I keep seeing pictures of it being gold!
And last of all....The car has a lot of the stock decals on it, just scratched up. Do you guys have a specific guy you go through to get those remade?

I know I just asked a million questions and I apologize! Christmas is the dead line if not the New Year so just trying to finish up the little stuff!

Hood prop. This is a pic of the front hood prop.

ImageMarch 16 2013 024 (1024x768) by Kevin Jones, on Flickr

There is one for sale on ebay now. It includes the hood latch but I'm not sure it is the front hood latch. If it is it's missing the safety release. Not that they work but it's not there.

I don't have a good pic of Spuds hood prop but somewhere in the bor or on this forum is a drawings showing how to make one. I'll get a pic tomorrow and try to find some dimensions or supply them.

Best of luck.

Id think you could bend one up yourself in 20 min, you can get round stock that size at homedepot or lowes. I don't have one but I don't intend on displaying the car like you may if its for a car dealer...

I would like a rear hood latch as that's a pain to work on the engine and hold the hood up, I cut a stick the right length and use that :)

Bobby also makes reverse lenses , FYI.

I made the hood prop from a section of TIG rod. Took a few tries, but it's not too hard.

Hey guys it's been awhile but I'm assembling our car and I noticed the taillight chrome is just pitted to death. Does anyone have a nice set laying around? I have new lenses. I also was wondering if anyone has some straight bumper brackets for both front and back. What has anyone done about the gas door in regards to the key lock missing to keep it closed? I was cleaning the window washer sprayer and the little metal ball in it fell out just my luck. I'm not sure if glueing it in is the best line of action. For the rest of the rest of the car I need the prop for the engine door and the license plate light with lense. For the little back windows I think there was fuzzy stuff or felt on the car but I'm not sure where to even find that sort of felt. Haha a lot of little random parts of course! And before I forget I had the bumpers straightened and rechromed by El Paso plating. They turned out amazing. But the rubber that goes on them was destroyed. Anyone have any alternatives or know where to even find something similar?

Thanks so much I know I have been a pain! But I want it to all look right especially since it's going in our brand new dealership show room.
