We have a 360 sedan.

We found this in a junk yard. We were able to purchase it with the title and keys.
After cleaning the fuse panel and several wire terminals I got spark.
With a squirt of starting fluid and WD40 in the carb it fired. I've stopped there with the engine.
I've replaced the tires, so it will roll.

We are at Ft Knox KY, my wife is a full time Army officer. Our home is central PA.
We found the 360 in KY it was from WI.
I'll try to post a photo, if I can figure out how to make it an size the site will accept.

Welcome. Can't wait to see the pics. Pull your oil pump. Should be the first engine project.

Welcome! This is a great community to be a part of. Everyone has helped me immensely. The easiest way I have found to post pictures is using an app called Tapatalk. It makes life easy. Let's see some pictures! !

Welcome to the club!! :D
Hopefully the oil pump wasn't gummed up or stuck when you started the engine. As Kevin suggested, drop the oil pump, two 9MM headed bolts & CK the pump out. Remove the two phillip screws & remove the round cover that will let you CK the gear teeth.
Does it have brakes????

I only run it a couple seconds to see if it would. I plan on going thru the gas and oil systems. Who in this group rebuilds carbs?
From the posts I've read 360's and Toyota Landcruiser's brakes are the same. That if they are not being worked on, they both are in need of being worked on.
It does need a windshield.
I'm remodeling our house in KY and hauled the 360 to our place in PA to get it under roof for the winter.
I'm going have the interior redone this winter.

Last I heard, the beloved co-founder of our club, Ed Parsil, is still rebuilding carburetors -- at a very reasonable cost. If you need a windshield, you'd better contact Garm Bealle ASAP to see if he has any of his reproductions left; he's closing down his Subaru parts business and soon (maybe now) there will be none left.

Look on Ebay, I think he has a windshield for sale right now.

Does any one have a phone number or email address for Ed and Garm?
I am NOT computer friendly, I am technologically challenged and I am happy with my flip phone. So I google search or ask at site like this for information. My wife doesn't understand how I can spend two hours making a piece of wood or steel fit just right and 7 seconds after the computer won't do something I want to snap it like twig.
I met Bob Bowersmith at the Lanesville Heritage Festival he had a self propelled hay bailer. After we bought our 360, I discovered that at one time he had 8 of them. He has since past along with all that knowledge.

I do not have either of their numbers, Im also trying to reach Garm about some parts he had reproduced in the past.

Ed is usually cruising this forum and may respond himself, but your best path is to join the club, I think its $8 a year. Go to the top of this web site, http://www.subaru360club.org/ for Brian's contact info on how to sign up. THis then gives you access, right to download the BOR (Book of Reprints) this is full of great info and a lot of Eds knowledge and is the first place most of us turn to for a solution. If the BOR fails you, post a question here in the correct section to get a prompt response from someone that knows that topic.

Good luck
