New Member from Vermont
Hello everyone,
I recently saw a 360 sedan at a car show and felt inspired to join the group to learn more about the model, meet some owners, and eventually find my own sedan! I currently own a Honda z600 that I purchased a few months ago. After a lot of tinkering it actually runs now. Anybody wondering what it's like to drive one? I'll swap cars for a day! I'm told the 360 and 600 are two very different vehicles.

Welcome aboard. Wise idea joining the club then find your vehicle! Nice looking Z600 coupe! Nice alloywheels! Have kept 3 coupes for awhile years ago then passed them on. 1 yellow 1 green and 1 orange. Hope you find a 360 soon??

Welcome to the club. Nice 600. I have 4 of which two are parts cars. Three of which could be yours for the right price.

Welcome to The Club!
Honda 600 is a 4-stroke front engine car.
Subaru 360 is a 2-stroke rear engine car.
So when examining a Subaru 360, if you open the front hood and find
an engine, it is definitely NOT stock
The Subaru 360 is a much simpler engine, the first time I put new pistons
and cylinders in my van it took me 90 minutes
A little over 100,000 miles later, I had to do it again

300,000+ miles on Subaru 360s since Feb. 1975, and have never (yet) been stuck on the road with one!

Re: New Member from Vermont
Thanks for the welcome and the Coupe compliments (coupeliments?) I have another rusted coupe (now a parts car - thank goodness for them!) that inspired me to find a solid one, which for me meant looking out west. I paid to have it shipped to Vermont, which, despite the cost, I would do 100 times over trying to fix a rusted car.
Soon I'll post an official "wanted" ad for a sedan. Seems like many members are out west - any Northeast cars here? I see some folks in Vermont joined a while back...
By the way, there's a van behind a Subaru dealer about 30 minutes from my house. Here are some pictures! I inquired about it and was told off by a salesperson...

Ahh good old VT.
Its been a few years since I've been up there.
Welcome to the club and nice find in that van. It looks pretty good.
Missing alot , but body wise it looks OK from here..
Too bad the sales team isn't into selling cars.

There's a cluster of 360s here in northern NJ / western PA. At least six or so within 60 miles or less. And one of mine is a "cluster" all by itself (but that's another topic)baldwinelias wrote:Seems like many members are out west - any Northeast cars here?

Re: New Member from Vermont
Welcome to the Club from downunder - yep, I have had three "Zeds" as we call them down here, but mine were all 360Zs, not 600Zs. I preferred the air-cooled Zed to the water-cooled, they just seemed to rev out easier and the air-cooled ("Scamp") motors were in my mind not so fragile as the water-cooled (Life) engine. Just my opinion! I now have Honda 1300 Coupe 9s - my restorer is the very same Honda "Pop Orange" colour as your 600Z, so reminiscent of that period. Enjoy your Hondas and hope you get a good Sube soon. No idea why those salesfolk thought they had the right to "tell you off" though. Keep badgering them - ask to see the boss, go over their silly heads. Ask them if they have developed a sudden serious allergy to money. Give them the number of a good local counsellor. That liddle van is asking you to save it.... you can see that in the pics..
Cheers,
Ian
