Hello from Spokane WA!
Brand new to the site and I must say I'm very lucky to be a member!! Unbelievably knowledgable people and always there to help!! I finally picked up a 70 360 Van and I'm thrilled!:) there is so much to learn and to troubleshoot but that's why I love it! It's a challenge! Anybody else from the east side of Washington? I've never seen another 360 on the road around here so I'm hurrying to get the Van on the road! I'll post pics of the restoration!

Re: Hello from Spokane WA!
Hey guys (and gals) thanks for the comments! It's a 70 deluxe van, white with the red interior. The story how I got it is actually a pretty good one! The short version is I responded to a local ad on CL for a 69 sedan a older lady had for sale so I drove way out to her place and as I'm checking out here sedan I noticed a car under a tarp....you guessed it, it was the van!!:) of course she didn't want to sell it, but I did finally get her to sell both to me!! The van was parked in a garage since 1980! I found out why...number 1 cylinder was melted!:( but the van was about 90+ % complete! I have it completely torn down and it's up in the air!! I promise I'll post pics of the progress!:)

Re: Hello from Spokane WA!
Welcome to the club! A sedan AND a van to work on - cool. As you've seen everyone here loves pics - please remember that in addition to just posting pics to show everybody what you've got, be sure to post pics whenever you have a question. Doing that has helped illustrate a problem or two (or 20) that I have encountered along the way; it helps folks with their diagnosis.

Welcome! Congrats on the find!
I lived in Spokane for several years. Lived on the South Hill a half block from Manito Park. I miss our little bungalow there!

Thanks guys! It really would be impossible to restore one of these cars without this site!! The south hill is so beautiful! My wife and I were just there the other day:-) it's going to be a busy week for the van and I! Should have the brakes up and running (not fun lol) and body work!

Scooby - welcome to The Club. We've been driving the same '70 van since Feb. '75, still drive it every day.
You will have a lot of fun, pass a lot of gas stations, and attract a lot of attention driving yours.
In the December 2010 issue of the Newsletter there is a Roster and if you look under WASHINGTON you may find someone near you.

Re: Hello from Spokane WA!
WELCOME ABOARD SCOOB!!
I used to live there in Spokane (well, Otis Orchards - close enough), albeit briefly, I moved there when I retired from the army @ Ft. Lewis on the moist side of the state. I did love it there, but I had to go where there was work, and that ultimately meant a brief stay in Folsom, CA, then RENO, NV - and I do love it here!!
Good looking van and as it has been stated on here a time or two - you couldn't have come to a better place for the care and feeding of your 360 "fleet". I have observed that the incredible knowledge, expertise and willingness to help by members on here (some of these folks blow my mind with their knowledge of these creatures!) is unmatched in any other specialty club I have experienced.
