Hello, Marc, and welcome to the club. - For windshields and rubbers (repops), you can talk to Garm at (818) 693-8403; he has a website: reallysmallcars.com. Make sure you understand about the windshields before you do anything; to my knowledge, you can't get or use the stainless trim around the wind...

Re: Hello! New Subaru 360 owner in MD

For tires: try Garm and you can also try Mini Mania in Northern California. The problem with shocks is that even if you find one that fits, it may be a very harsh ride. The new shocks are usually made to carry a heavier car (2,500 to 4,000 pounds) rather than a tiny car like a Subaru (1,000 pounds),...

Re: Hello! New Subaru 360 owner in MD

Bent-in sides are fairly common, more so on the sedan. If the door is opened while the car is moving forward, the door becomes a giant sail which causes the bend and tweaks the door pillar. Buying a replacement door is usually only part of the answer; you may still need to find a way to twist the do...

Re: ittybitty360 in Minnesota. Help me with my decision please!

A $1,500 shipping cost seems extremely high to me. Last year I shipped a car from L.A. to Atlanta for $1,200, so your cost on the MA van should be around $800. I used U Ship. (The zip code for Chris is 02747.) I believe you can play hardball on price as these vans are essentially unknown to the coll...

Forget my most recent letter (above.) I think the MN van can be saved. I saw a complete rust bucket yesterday that had been dragged out here from IL and was hopeless. Your original letter was lengthy and I'm willing to respond with an equally lengthy letter of my own -- but it seems like a waste of my time to do so. Hi, The only thing you did not state is what you want to end up with: a decent driver? a show car? most likely, something in between? If you end up with this van and do glass, interior, chrome, mechanics, tires and paint, you'll spend at least $10,000 -- probably closer to $15,000 --- in addition to...

Re: Hello from Kentucky. 360 sedan owner here.

Here's more: When your wheels are apart, check the insides for rust. If you find any, the rims must be sanded smooth and painted. The rust is rough and can easily wear through the tube -- and we know what that means!
