Where did you find a rebuild kit for the carb??

The only one I ever saw contained 90% jets and air bleeds
that do not match any 360 carb, and was missing the
needle/seat parts.

You are missing several important parts of the carburetor!
See P. 16 thru 19 in the BOOK OF REPRINTS and read the article in a Newsletter
maybe a year old on HOW NOT TO RUIN YOUR CARBURETOR.
You can't just go out and buy a new one :shock:

Never got stuck on the road with it.
You are not far from Frank DuVal in VA - he is a good source for new parts!
Bobby DeCola in NC is a good source for used parts.

Beau - if all else fails, see the article on P. 349 in the BOOK OF REPRINTS,
it details a method of getting at the rear shoes with the drum still on the axle.

The rear brakes may be stuck because the parking brake has been on all those years and the cables are stuck. Do not try to pull the drums until they will turn freely. With the parking brake OFF try moving the flexible sections of each cable back near the rear brakes. Sometimes that will get the cabl...

David - if you don't have the BOOK OF REPRINTS you can download it free,
see PUBLICATIONS topic on this message board. There are sources for
the axle boots and tips on installing them.

Also LOTS on brake cyl repair and replacement.

80W-90, fill to 1" below the hole you put it in.

Find the reliner who has been around the longest in your area.
One member used a reliner who put too much hear on the aluminum
shoes and melted them!
You shouldn't have to tell a shop that they are aluminum, but do it anyway :roll:

A good cleaning might take care of the clutch
See BOR for Subaru Justy rear wheel cyls that can be adapted to your 360
Is shoes are OK you can get them relined, 5/32" bonded lining if the drums have
not been cut, 3/16" if they have been cut.

"matching numbers" means nothing on a 360. The VIN for a sedan is K111L-(4 or 5 digits) The only thing that matches it is the title :lol: Engine # is not important and is nothing like the VIN "matching numbers" is in a class with "very rare" and "less than 100 impo...

Also that model van is newer than those imported to US,

I am not good on computers, I understand mechanical things but electronics

Why can't it remember me??

Lately every time I try to reply on anything it pops me to
a place where I have to re-enter and x the box that says REMEMBER ME.
The next thing I try to do anything the same thing happens again.
This is not all the time but most of the time.
What's up with this???

I forgot about the foam under the skid plate - it appears to serve the function of absorbing the transaxle oil that seeps out of every 360 power unit :D Obviously the metal skid plate protects the underside of the power unit from objects flying up from the road, and the foam does very little of that...
